Comenzó su formación artística en Madrid, en Albín Estudio, bajo la tutela de Jaime Sánchez Alonso. Poco después comenzaría sus estudios en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios donde se titularía como Muralista. En la misma ciudad, una vez terminados sus estudios, ejercería dicha profesión, al mismo tiempo que trabajaría en el sector de la decoración infantil durante 3 años.
En 2002 se traslada a Marbella, donde decide dedicarse exclusivamente al mundo de la pintura decorativa y mural, lo cual consigue con éxito durante aproximadamente 12 años. Durante esta etapa se dedicó a pintar y decorar las paredes de numerosas viviendas particulares, restaurantes, tiendas, etc. y se especializó en la decoración de piezas de mobiliario, dominando gran variedad de acabados y consiguiendo resultados de gran calidad, siempre a la altura de clientes de muy alto standard.
Paralelo a su trabajo como muralista y pintora decorativa, desarrollaría su propia línea de ilustración infantil, creando pinturas de pequeño formato y murales.
Desde muy joven consideraba la idea de abrir una escuela, pero no fue hasta el año 2012 que se animara a comenzar de verdad a enseñar. Cinco años más tarde, en 2017, decidió lanzarse y abrir lo que hoy es Arte Sonsoles, Escuela-Taller. Ella define la trayectoria de su escuela como un camino difícil pero apasionante, y siempre recalca que el verdadero reto no está en llegar, sino en mantenerse; por ese motivo su cabeza no para, siempre ideando, siempre tratando de innovar y de ofrecer lo mejor a sus alumnos y clientes... siempre trabajando.
A la par de su proyecto de la escuela, Sonsoles continúa su trabajo como artista, que fue desviándose poco a poco hacia la pintura de caballete. Comenzó trabajando por encargo, adaptando su estilo a los deseos del cliente final y realizando obras que viajarían a Filipinas, Guadalajara, Madrid y Sotogrande; sin embargo, sus ganas de evolucionar y seguir aprendiendo la llevaron a buscar profundizar en diversas técnicas, formándose con mentores contemporáneos del realismo como son: Rubén Belloso, Aurelio Rodríguez y Alejandro Carpintero, entre otros.
Hoy en día ella trabaja todas las técnicas y expresiones: pastel, carbón, acuarela, óleo, acrílico, tinta... retrato, paisaje, figura, abstracción... aunque reconoce sentir perdición por el realismo, el cual continúa estudiando y perfeccionando sin descanso. Tras años luchando por "buscar su estilo", se dio cuenta de que precisamente su versatilidad es la que define su obra, por lo que, dependiendo de la idea que quiera desarrollar, se decanta por una u otra técnica, lo cuál considera mucho más interesante y divertido.

She began her artistic training in Madrid, at Albín Estudio, under the tutelage of Jaime Sánchez Alonso. Shortly after, she would begin her studies at the School of Arts and Crafts where she would graduate as a Muralist. In the same city, once she finished her studies, she would practice this profession, at the same time that she would work in the children's decoration sector for 3 years.
In 2002 she moved to Marbella, where she decided to dedicate herself exclusively to the world of decorative and mural painting, which she successfully achieved for approximately 12 years. During this stage she dedicated herself to painting and decorating the walls of numerous private homes, restaurants, shops, etc. and specialised in decorating pieces of furniture, mastering a wide variety of finishes and achieving high-quality results, always up to the highest standards of clients. Parallel to her work as a muralist and decorative painter, she would develop her own line of children's illustration, creating small-format paintings and murals.
From a very young age she considered the idea of opening an art school, but it was not until 2012 that she was encouraged to really start teaching. Five years later, in 2017, she decided to open what is now Arte Sonsoles, Escuela-Taller. She defines the trajectory of her school as a difficult but exciting path, and she always emphasises that the real challenge is not in arriving, but staying; for this reason her head does not stop, always thinking, always trying to innovate and offering the best to her students and clients... always working.
Along with her school project, Sonsoles continues her work as an artist, which gradually drifted towards easel painting. She began working on commission, adapting her style to the wishes of the final client and carrying out works that would travel to the Philippines, Guadalajara, Madrid and Sotogrande; however, her desire to evolve and continue learning led her to seek to delve into various techniques, training with contemporary realism mentors such as: Rubén Belloso, Aurelio Rodríguez and Alejandro Carpintero, among others.
Today she works with all techniques and expressions: pastel, charcoal, watercolour, oil, acrylic, ink... portrait, landscape, figure, abstraction... although she admits that she feels captivated for realism, which she continues to study and perfect without rest.
After years struggling to "find her style", she realized that her versatility is precisely what defines her work, so depending on the idea she wants to develop, she opts for one technique or another, which she considers much more Interesting and fun.
